Kitchener-based punk trio/cautionary tale LYFE SK!LLZ are teaching us the ways of the world with new album How 2 Human.
The album is accompanied by new video “What A Day”. It’s brooding and menacing; the sound of a man desperately clinging to a calming mantra as he navigates the day-to-day grind. The power of positive energy clashing against the darkness inside.
How 2 Human is filled with triumphs (“Punk Rock Saved”, “Feel Alive”) and crushing defeats (“Checked Out”, “ESTA”) but like any good punk record it’s playful as it delivers cathartic bursts of noise. A party record for the powerless. A shot of adrenaline for the despondent.
How 2 Human was recorded/mixed by Bill Morton and mastered by Matt Gauthier. It is set for release May 11 via Cartridge Heart.
