Affirmation Celebration is 11 tracks of nihilist post-hardcore disco. Songs that threaten to flay the skin off your bones and expose the meaty bits for the camera. “Dis-Posable” is an exposé on the interplay between consumerism, manufacturing and the collateral damage you don’t want to think about. “Smiles Are Contagious” pulls back the veneer on the masks we wear as we pretend to interact with each other. These 11 songs are the encapsulation of 21st century living: we may feel a little gross inside, but we keep on dancing.
