[Video] Sixteen Scandals – C.O.R.P.(S.E.)

Toronto/Kitchener punk trio Sixteen Scandals have a new single and video out this month. It completes a trilogy of EPs rooted in portmanteaus (Dorkmanteau), malapropisms (Dorkmantwo: Hellapropisms) and acronyms (Dorkmantrois: Whackronyms). In addition to flaunting their literature degrees, they show off their aptitude for endearing melodies that stab you in the heart on this latest track.

“C.O.R.P.(S.E.)” is a high-energy punk/alt track about the numb grind of corporate life and feeling like a walking corpse stuck in a loop. Fast, hooky, and emotionally raw, it channels burnout and quiet desperation with a sharp edge. For fans of The Dirty Nil, IDLES, and Heart Attack Man.

“C.O.R.P.(S.E.)” was recorded with Matt Gauthier (Handheld, Church Fight) at This Place Needs A Name studio and completes the Dorkmantrois: Whackronyms EP available via Cartridge Heart.

“C.O.R.P.(S.E.)” hits streaming platforms on May 19.
