Kevin Murphy’s Murder takes the folk-punk songwriting of Kevin Murphy and adds the blistering intensity of an electric 3-piece arrangement. Pricise but powerful drumming from Unnikrishnan Kalidas and the distortion-saturated, melodic bass lines of Nathan Thompson elevate the songs so they hit like a punch in the gut. Incisive and angry, Kevin Murphy’s Murder delivers a satisfying shot of punk rock rage with the thoughtfulness and craft to back it up.
“In Our Places” appeared on Go Kick-Ass! 3. “Free Market Empathy” followed on Go Kick-Ass! 4. Debut EP Shed That Skin releases November 20 on CD via Cartridge Heart.
