Go Kick-Ass! 4

Go Kick-Ass! 4 returns for its fourth installment. This annual compilation collects all-new tracks from a carefully curated crew of bands from all over southern Ontario (and two from Quebec).

This 2026 edition features contributions from Alert The Audience, Azure Rose, Baby’s First Pistol, Big Bank, Big Evil, Bill McNeal, Birdhand, Brain Drug, Burner, Delaware, Gnargoyle, Kevin Murphy’s Murder, Kingfisher, Last Drag, Lovers, LYFE SK!LLZ, The Mendozaz, The Meringues, Mip Power Trio, Monstrosa, Moore Ave, Motion Sickness, Nothing Serious, Old Mountain Low, Pink Leather Jackets, Sixteen Scandals, Speedbump Sally, Super Not Okay, The Supervoids, Teal Hyena, Terrible and the Horribles and Zemo Green.

Combining a love of physical media, mix CDs and an enduring need to spread the word about must-hear underground music, Go Kick-Ass! encapsulates Cartridge Heart’s mission statement in a jam-packed double disc package that makes for a great companion for road trips and is a gateway to undiscovered talent.

Disc One is a punk rock poison pill with enough skate punk, pop punk, hardcore and noise punk to send you on a warped-sized head-trip. Disc Two is a mixed bag of high-energy rock n roll, post-punk, psych, shoegaze, folk/country and more that has a bit of something for everyone.

On the weekend of September 18-20 there will be a series of launch events all over southern Ontario featuring the bands that appear on the comp. Hit up a show in Ajax, Hamilton, London or Toronto, grab a copy, put on your favourite boots and get kickin’!
